These Terms and Conditions outline the policies for booking and attending appointments at Pearl Menopause and Midlife GP Specialists, a clinic providing care focused on menopause and perimenopause.
Booking Terms
and Conditions
1. Appointments
- Appoints are made online via Halaxy at www.pearlmenopause.com.au.

A valid credit card and medicare card will be required at the time of booking.

Bookings are preferably in person, but can be via telehealth (after initial consults) if preferred.

By booking an appointment, you agree to provide accurate personal and medical information to facilitate the best possible care.
2. Fees & billing

The fee schedule is kept updated at www.pearlmenopause.com.au and may be changed from time to time.

Payment for appointments are taken in full at the time of booking, and held as a credit until your appointment.

Halaxy booking software charges a 1.9% + $1 booking services fee per appointment, and this will be added to the total charge to your credit card.

Medicare rebates are available to those with valid medicare cards, and will be processed immediately following your appointment.

If your medicare card details provided at the time of booking are incorrect, expired or otherwise invalid, or there are technical issues and your medicare rebate cannot automatically be processed, it is your responsibility to make a Medicare rebate claim yourself directly with Medicare using the details on the invoice provided.
3. Telehealth

Telehealth appointments are performed via video preferentially, and you will be provided with a secure link to connect to your doctor prior to your appointment.

Video appointments require internet connection. If either you or the doctors connection fails or drops out during the appointment, or the video image and audio is not clear enough to facilitate consultation, you will have the option to convert to telephone call, reschedule or refund in full.

Telehealth does not allow for physical examination of a patient, and if this is required to understand your condition or make medical decisions on the most appropriate care, you may be required to make an in person appointment for examination.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Failure to attend an appointment without notice ("no-show") will incur a 100% fee of the booked service.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel via hello@pearlmenopause.com.au.

In rare circumstances, your appointment may need to be cancelled or rescheduled by Pearl Menopause. If this occurs, you will be offered a reschedule at the next available opportunity, or a full refund.
5. Scope & limitations

Our clinic is staffed by GPs who have experience in managing menopause-related health concerns, and the scope of services provided is limited to issues related to perimenopause and menopause.

We do not provide emergency medical services. In an emergency, please call 000 or visit your nearest hospital.

Any investigations ordered, treatments offered, and referrals made will relate solely to concerns within this scope.

Unrelated medical conditions will not be addressed as part of these appointments.

Booking an appointment does not guarantee the provision of any specific treatment or prescription.All prescriptions are provided at the sole discretion of the treating General Practitioner, based on a comprehensive clinical assessment.

Pearl Menopause doctors will not prescribe treatments that they consider inappropriate, unsafe, or not aligned with their professional obligations, medical registration, or indemnity insurance.

As General Practitioners, our doctors may from time to time recommend input from other specialists or allied health professionals when this is in the best interest of patient care.

Our doctors may confidentially discuss your care with other doctors within the clinic.
6. Information handling

Your personal and medical information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Please note some practitioners at Pearl Menopause use Lyrebird or Heidi, AI note-taking tools, during consultations to assist with accurate clinical documentation and allow them to focus on the patient in front of them. No enduring audio recordings are stored. You will be notified if your doctor intends on using this software, and have the right to decline if you have concerns. 7. Your responsibilities

It is your responsibility to attend scheduled appointments and to provide complete and accurate health information.

Please inform us of any changes to your contact details, Medicare details, or your health condition at your appointment or via email hello@pearlmenopause.com.au.
